Today, we're chatting with Marianne, a key member of our team who navigates the dynamic world of Customer Success and Marketing.
Marianne's role at Accedo One is multifaceted, involving everything from customer success to marketing. "I have customer contact on a few levels: helping clients with onboarding on the platform, working with them to help them make their OTT service a success, and asking questions to better understand customer needs," she explains. This direct interaction gives her a unique perspective on which Accedo One features truly make a difference.
When asked about the Accedo One feature she champions most, Marianne doesn't hesitate: "The features that truly delight are those that answer a strategic need for the customer - that they maybe didn't even expect to be met. For me, that feature is Service Variations".
It's a powerful feature that enables OTT services to run different versions of their app, different monetization strategies or display different content based on location or device. While it might not be the first feature that comes to mind, its strategic importance becomes clear when a streaming service aims to expand or cater to diverse audiences.
Marianne recalls a perfect "before and after" scenario with one of our customers.
"For one of our customers, an internal requirement emerged to run different live content in the home market versus international markets".
Without Service Variations, it would have posed a significant problem for the customer to maintain their live feeds as needed.
"Enabling the Service Variations feature meant that we were quickly able to give the customer a solution that solved their problem”.
This demonstrates how Accedo One empowers customers to overcome complex operational hurdles with a couple of conversations.
In a rapidly evolving environment like Accedo One, customer feedback is invaluable. With each new customer using the feature for their own unique use case, we gain knowledge that helps us make recommendations to other customers with similar use cases. We always learn from our customers and their specific needs. This continuous learning cycle ensures that Accedo One remains highly responsive to real-world demands.
Beyond its primary function, Service Variations offers an unexpected benefit: "We occasionally use this feature as a way to sandbox a streaming service, which gives an added level of security to customers needing to test more complex new developments in production". This clever application highlights the versatility and inherent security advantages built into Accedo One, allowing customers to innovate with confidence.
