We are pleased to announce a significant upgrade to our SaaS platform, Accedo One, with the launch of a new, native identity management feature. This new functionality, combined with Accedo One’s video management system, marks a major step toward creating a truly end-to-end platform for video service providers. The feature will be showcased at IBC 2025 in Amsterdam.

With Identity, Accedo One is able to natively support user registration and authentication, a capability that was previously only possible through third-party integrations.

Why does native identity management matter?

While freedom of choice among third-party vendors provides flexibility for those seeking a best-of-breed approach - a flexibility Accedo One will continue to offer - we are aware that it also adds complexity to operational workflows. By building identity management directly into the service, Accedo One now allows media companies to view and manage their user base from a single platform. This simplifies operations, especially for smaller teams, from the very first touchpoint.

Markus Hejdenberg, CEO of Accedo One, states, “Identity management is a critical building block for any video service. By bringing it natively into Accedo One, we are making it easier than ever for our customers to manage their subscribers, helping them to build, scale, and evolve their video services.” His comments underscore the company's commitment to simplifying the technical complexities of running a successful streaming service.

What does Identity entail?

When a customer uses Identity, user registrations will be logged directly in Accedo One. This includes contact details, information on the registration date, last activity date, and status, with the option to add a new user. Of course, it is also possible to export a user report.

The future: a complete subscription management suite

This new identity management feature is not just a standalone addition; it's the foundation for a more comprehensive set of tools. Accedo One is also developing subscription management capabilities to be added to the platform. This upcoming feature will give media companies the ability to manage the entire subscriber lifecycle within Accedo One.

Importantly, Accedo One remains a platform of choice. While introducing powerful native tools, we will continue to support integrations with other leading identity and subscription partners. This "best of both worlds" approach ensures that customers have the freedom to choose the solutions that best fit their unique business strategies, whether they prefer a fully integrated suite or a modular system.
